Thwing & Octon Community Benefit Society (see organisation page on the left)
The society was set up in a bid to raise funds to save and reopen the Falling Stone Public House. As the Society's offer to purchase the property has been declined, the society has now closed, and the balance of funds are in trust to the Parish Council. Should circumstances change and we can agree a mutually acceptable purchase price, then the society will be reformed.

THWING AND OCTON AMENITIES COMMITEE
The group has long been a part of village life staging events and raising funds for the benefit of the community.
In May 2021 the group awarded a grant to the Parish Council towards the cost of purchasing a mower to support grass cutting at Thwing Mere and Thwing Church. The Parish council would like to express their sincere thanks for enabling the purchase of this valuable community facility.
August 29th 2021 so the second return of the village fun show, after a long absence.
